Imax Lighting is a dynamic and fast growing lighting services business based in the South West of England.

Imax was founded by director Gary Churchill, a stage lighting professional with a background in theatre and live music events with the desire to build a top quality lighting business.

Since then Imax has built a reputation for customer service and top quality lighting hire stock and expanded quickly. In 2007 Lighting Designer Ian Lidstone joined Gary as a director, bringing Imax his experience as a lighting designer in both theatre and corporate events.

Together with a team of experienced and skilled technical crew, Imax Lighting is becoming the first choice for lighting hire and service of many event organisers, promoters and production managers.

About Gary Churchill

Starting the business in his early 20’s, Gary has grown Imax Lighting to the professional outfit it is today. With attention to detail and a passion for technical equipment, Gary leads the hire team and won’t settle for anything less that perfection when sending out kit. On site, Gary still enjoys getting stuck into rigging, lighting and console operation while managing the Imax crew.

Ian Lidstone has been involved in the entertainment industry for over 15 years as a lighting designer, technician and event producer. Working on a wide range of of live events, including theatre, concerts and corporate communications. Ian has a reputation as a man who can handle anything, even your most demanding clients.
